Kawartha-Highlands Net Zero House

Located north of Peterborough, this project is an exciting endeavour in sustainable energy. Our client's wish was to build a Net Zero Energy home that is smaller and better suited to their needs than their previous home. The one-story house has a long south/east facing great room with eastern lake-view bedrooms. The large, south-facing roof houses a 10Kw photovoltaic array connected to the grid through Ontario's Micro-Fit program. The separate workshop building houses a second 10Kw Net-Metering array, ensuring that this property will produce as much (or more) energy as it uses per year.
